Connecting those who can help with those who need help

When 50 million people don't know where their next meal is coming from in one of the world's most affluent nations, a combination of technology and human ingenuity can make the impossible not impossible.

That's how Not Impossible Labs created Bento, a text-based service that connects US families in need with nutritious, prepaid meals from nearby restaurants. And now, Genpact is strengthening its fight against hunger with our digital capabilities and process expertise.

Accelerating change

Working with the Not Impossible Foundation, we're building a social impact platform that gives donors greater visibility of the impact their donations make. As the platform's first integration, organizations deploying Bento in their communities can use this enhanced insight to deepen engagement with donors. It also expands their capacity to feed people, helping Bento achieve its goal of serving 1 million meals a month.

And we're raising awareness of this critical crisis even further through our partnership with Formula E team Envision Virgin Racing. In July, the team’s cars carried the Not Impossible Bento logo through the streets of Brooklyn at the 2021 ABB New York City E-Prix.

About Bento

Bento, formerly Hunger: Not Impossible, is a text-based service that connects individuals and families experiencing food insecurity with prepaid, nutritious, to-go meals from nearby restaurants. Bento is purpose-built to directly empower community organizations' efforts to improve the health and overall quality of life of community members by addressing food insecurity first.

In response to the COVID-19 crisis in March of 2020, Not Impossible Labs launched the first-generation Bento platform, connecting people with convenient, nutritious, pre-paid meals from nearby restaurants in a stigma-free way, all through text messaging.

In its first year, Bento provided over 150,000 meals to people in need across seven pilot cities in the US (Los Angeles, Houston, Las Vegas, Oakland, Seattle, Chicago, and Memphis) with four new markets coming soon: New York City, Baltimore, Denver, and Dallas.
