GBS Transformation

Generating Advanced Operations Transformation Impact

Genpact helps organizations transform their global business services (GBS) operating models. Our GBS transformation methodology comprises two steps – discovery and recommendation, and implementation.

During the discovery and recommendation phase, Genpact conducts a feasibility study across processes, people, and technology. This enables Genpact to understand the existing organization structure and recognize the client’s dependency on various systems and processes. Process performance levels identified are then benchmarked against peers using Genpact’s proprietary Smart Enterprise ProcessesSM methodology. This benchmarking provides an initial view of process-improvement opportunities.

Viewing data from our study of the client enables us to design the optimal future-state organization for both the shared services center (SSC) and the retained unit, while taking advantage of the most effective enabling technologies. This phase helps us build SSC transformation roadmaps that can be applied to both existing and new shared services centers.

In the implementation phase, Genpact partners with clients to deploy the transformation plan. Genpact uses its experience of setting up delivery centers around the world to create a comprehensive GBS framework. The framework includes program management, transition methodologies, operational excellence frameworks, change management, hiring strategies, facility management, and business-continuity planning. Genpact also instills a culture of continuous process improvement to deliver repeatable value to the business.

Genpact architects the Lean DigitalSM enterprise by combining design-thinking principles with Lean approaches, digital technologies and analytics, and deep domain expertise, and to help clients reimagine their global operations that deliver business impact.
