Assistant Vice President- Controllership – Closing and Reporting

Inviting applications for the role AVP Controllership – Closing and Reporting 

 

Responsibilities  

 

  • Act as a Legal Entity (LE) Controller and be responsible for end-to-end compliance and financial reporting activities (including local filings) of such LEs.  

 

  • Lead Global Consolidation and preparation of Consolidated financial statements as per US GAAP (quarterly and annual reporting) 

 

  • SPOC for internal (controllership) and external (tax, FP&A, legal, auditors etc) teams for local LE with respect to compliance and financial reporting matters.  

 

  • Lead cross-functional projects designed to revamp processes and enhance reporting/controls.  

 

  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual book closure per USGAAP with complete ownership of balance sheet and certain P&L accounts  

 

  • Variance analysis of legal entities covered  

 

  • Ensure communication and information transparency to key stakeholders and senior management. Prepare senior management updates as required 

 

  • Manage and oversee the preparation of statutory audits and other compliance requirements of entities as required.  

 

  • Manage a team to ensure above responsibilities are seamlessly delivered  

 

  • People development and keeping the team motivated 

 

  • Develop standardized controls and reporting legal entities. Ensure compliance with SoX requirements 

 

  • Represent controllership in matters which need controllership involvement 

 

Qualifications we seek in you! 

Minimum qualifications 

 

  • Deep domain knowledge of all the streams of closing and reporting coupled with working experience in multi-currency, multi legal entity, and matrix structured service organization. Should have worked in corporate function. 

 

  • Experience in preparation or audit of consolidated financial statements  

 

  • Team handling experience   

 

  • Working knowledge of ERP like oracle etc.  

 

  • Working knowledge of USGAAP and Local GAAP.  

 

  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills to effectively influence customers, senior stakeholder, and team  

 

  • Analytical, comfortable with numbers and ability to work under pressure  

 

  • Problem solving, collaborative attitude, strategic thinker, and ability to develop people and organization  

 

  • Chartered Accountant with relevant years of post-qualification experience. 

 

Preferred qualifications  

 

  • Some big experience would be preferred.
