Inviting applications for the role of Cloud Security Engineer - Kernel

Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for implementing security for Containerized apps deployed in AWS. Cloud Security Engineer utilizes Cloud native and other 3^rd party tools to monitor and respond to security incidents proactively.  

Function – Operation

Bangalore / Noida, India

Responsibilities  

• Deploy security for a multi-tier architecture solution using blueprints from the Security Architect in AWS platform
• Deploy tools to monitor platform and application vulnerabilities and work with other Cloud Architects and Engineers to mitigate threats
• Deploy identity and access management solutions as designed by the Security Architect
• Play a key role in the security incident management and work with Security Architect to come up with recommendations

Minimum qualifications 

• Hands on experience with deploying and managing security tools and methodologies 

• Hands on experience with deploying, managing monitoring tools and responding to security incidents 
• Hands on experience with automating deployments using Terraform, Git 
• Hands on experience with Cert Mgr, Identity Srvs, OPA, and Kong API Gateway 
• Hands on experience with Cloud Audit controls 

• In depth understanding of Security as it relates to Cloud Environments including the Shared Security Model

Preferred qualifications  

• Hands-on experience with one or more Public Clouds (AWS / Azure) 
• Knowledge of Palo Alto Prisma Cloud CSPM tool, Splunk 
• Knowledge of automation tools (Terraform, CFTs, Spectro Cloud) 

• Knowledge of Container concepts would be a plus 
• Knowledge of version control/change management tools (GitLab, Subversion)
