Inviting applications for the role of AM – OTC Collections!

In this role, as Collections Manager, you will manage the Collections team and ensure that the team follows up on past due accounts to guarantee payments.

 

Responsibilities:

• The collection supervisors will manage the whole collection process performed by the collections team

• Creates new strategies to improve the collection process

• Coordinates meetings with other teams within the Accounts Receivables department, such as credit and cash application staff to improve the collection process

• Ensures the staff is meeting production goals, complying with company standards, and perform the essential functions of their position as collectors daily

• Creates reports showing the progress of the team’s efforts to collect debts and present them to the internal customer during weekly meetings

• Supervises and coordinates activities of collectors that involve account changes and payment plans to guarantee the payment of past-due balances from customers

• Organize collection workload according to each collector´s experience, as part of the collection strategy

• Approve form letters to be used in collection attempts, especially for those customers  

• Refer debt accounts to our internal customer for credit hold or extrajudicial collection

• Assist subordinates with collection activities in difficult cases

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree / College diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in collections operations
  • Experience in Credit, Billing, and Cash Application processes, a plus
  • Relevant experience in a supervisory/people management role
  • Intermediate-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Good analytical/business reporting experience
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Must be able to communicate firmly and clearly with internal and external customers
  • Excellent communication skills – Verbal & Written
  • Eye for detail and quick response time
  • Ability to drive compliance & process adherence
