Inviting applications for the role of Manager-Cloud Sysops Lead Engineer

This role lies with Genpact IT -Compute Management Division. You will be responsible for supporting corporate Compute operations 24X7 for IT. You will be working actively on the operational issues along with internal / external partners to automate things and help recover the systems failure (proactive/reactive). You will have tremendous opportunities learn in one of the biggest Compute groups in the industry.

•    Experience in cloud technologies, with overall relevant IT operations delivery experience 
•    Experience in handling a team. Must have handled a team of at least 2+ resources.
•    Well versed with ITIL terminology for Incident, Change, Problem Management.
•    Experience in creating Cloud based infrastructure as per business requirements and within the Organization framework
•    Experience in creating infrastructure within secure VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) of Cloud
•    Experience in creating and maintaining scripts to provision/de-provision instances required for workloads.
•    Maintain organizational security compliances like passwords, key rotation policies
•    Should have experience of handling various Audit and Compliance activities like HIPPA, PCI, SOX etc.
•    Create & maintain various types of alerts that monitor systems health and report any issues to Sy sops team to resolve and/or escalate to the right teams
•    Cost savings/Cost Optimization is a vital activity, lifecycle management from start/stop instances to ensuring adherence to regular checks on what all can be optimized.
•    Establish good rapport with all Cloud partners and be part of Vendor Governance and management.
•    Collaborate and work with DEV team to deploy newer version patches/fixes for vulnerabilities for cloud servers
•    Managing full Cloud Lifecycle, Provisioning, Automation and Security.
•    Migrating existing on-premises applications to cloud.
•    Setting up and administering multi-tier workload environments
•    Configure and fine-tune cloud infrastructure systems (account/regions/zones etc.)
•    Perform cloud platform level software upgrades
•    Develop scripts for automating Cloud/server tasks
•    Establish and improve metrics, monitor cloud utilization of resources using CloudWatch
•    Perform on premise resources backup by utilizing Cloud Services
•    Deploy automation infrastructure by utilizing Cloud Formation techniques
•    Optimize resources and work on resource tagging to share the cost and plan for reporting.
•    Create and manage VPC, Bastion hosts.
•    Communicate and work with network team to finalize network connection to cloud VPC’s.
•    Monitor availability and performance 
•    Monitor effectively, billing and cost optimization strategies.
•    Manage disaster recovery and create backups.
•    Maintain Data Integrity and access control while using AWS application platform
•    Manage the Capacity planning for Cloud components by working with Monitoring tools.

•    Must have Industry certifications like AWS Sy sops Admin associate, Azure Admin Associate.
•    Amazon Web Services
o    VPC, EC2, ELB, EBS, S3, IGW, Route 53, DNS, VPN, RDS, IAM, etc.
•    Microsoft Azure
o    Virtual Machines, Virtual Network, Load Balancer, VPN Gateway, Azure DNS, CDN, Traffic Manager, Express Route, Blob Storage, Backup, Azure SQL etc.
•     Awareness of Cloud security best practices

•    Good command on Linux and Windows operating system
•    Good command over Linux shell command
•    Good command over Windows PowerShell
•    Scripting knowledge of at least one of the following:
o    JSON
o    Bash
o    Python
o    Perl

Minimum qualifications
•    Graduate in Technology (any stream)

Preferred qualifications
•    Strong verbal and written communication capabilities with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization
•    Provide a single point of contact for the reporting and tracking of issues
•    Maintain status on all open issues.
•    Interact consistently with end users in a professional, efficient, and service-oriented manner. 
•    Have a clear understanding of cloud deployment models
•    Have very good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
•    Work with Third Party Providers to assist in problem resolution.
•    Resolve issues within established time frames.
•    Perform root cause analysis in accordance with the Procedures Manual.
•    Participate in root cause analysis if needed.
•    Produce RCA report.
•    Can go for upgrade of devices on requirement & provide plan to customer.
•    Look for escalations and resolve it in given time frame.
•    Ability to perform problem analysis and develop resolutions at both strategic and tactical levels
•    Good understanding of ITIL Process flow
