Inviting applications for the role of  Lead Consultant- API Senior Developer 

Responsibilities

Responsible to lead, determine, analyze, develops or maintains, tests, implements and documents programs included in projects according to program specifications and client standards.

• Leads a small team of programmers and analyst/programmers to deliver the appropriate system solution. 
• Helps team members develop their skills to handle the required work.
• Reviews work done by programmers and analyst/programmers.
• Determines, analyzes, and transforms business requirements to produce design specifications on the system and programming levels..
• Identifies all possible test scenarios and prepares and executes unit/system testing for the systems developed.  Works with Testing team to develop and review system test plans. 
• Prepares/Reviews System Test plans to ensure the quality of system being delivered to the business community.
• Executes test plans during development and system testing and performs other testing required to ensure that system developed reflects user requirement/design.
• Provides support in the system test, user test, and production environments including analysis of defects/production problems.
• Performs implementation activities such as program promotions, installation of the system, training and tutorial for end users.
• Provides post-implementation and production support for supported systems including analysis of production problems raised by business users.
• Conducts capacity planning and performance tuning on supported applications as required.
• Conduct orientation/walk-through to the Technical Support, Computer Operations, Application Operations team on new systems/system enhancements in preparation for turn-over and implementation in Production.
• Provides work estimates for new systems/enhancements.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

• SDLC
• Agile methodologies
• Insurance principles and terminology knowledge
• Products, Policies and Procedures knowledge
• Client Company knowledge

Preferred qualifications

• WebMethods / Java / VB.Net / API
• Expert programming skills in at least one of the supported client platforms
• Competent systems analysis and design skills
• Able to apply client's SDLC
• Entry level Project Management Skills
• Strong experience in identifying areas for improvement/enhancement on existing system module or entire system and on new ones being developed.
