DG-Business Analyst- Credit Risk

Inviting applications for the role of Business Analyst, Credit Risk Specialist 

In this role, as a Commercial Credit Risk Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing the commercial credit worthiness of customers within one or more industrial businesses and consider the aggregate risk exposure globally.  By leveraging the Commercial Shared Services risk models, the successful candidate will gather additional data to perform analytics to calculate risk scores, recommend commercial credit limits, determine credit terms, capture relevant customer data into applicable system and process credit order releases.
Responsibilities
•    Interface effectively with industrial business leadership to articulate the transactional and customer risk, while recommending possible mitigating instruments;
•    Deliver a One Credit commercial onboarding solution linking Credit, Terms, ERP Set Up and Order Release driving reduced hand offs and improved cycle time;
•    Effectively perform timely credit risk analysis on new and existing commercial customers as prompted by queuing structures or management direction leveraging multiple sources of data used in providing a recommended commercial credit limit;
•    Provide deep dive customer analytics typically consisting of: multi-source financial ratings matrix, company background, financial statement analysis, global AR exposure, credit limit recommendation, SWOT analysis, industry performance and summary of key events;
•    Maintain high standards of data quality within the data sets for credit risk models and external reporting;
•    Support seamless new client onboarding to the Global Operations team and meeting ongoing service level agreement requirements;
•    Navigate effectively within multiple credit tools, receivable systems and internal processes to deliver accurate and timely credit risk recommendations.
•    Ensure execution of the Industrial Risk policy and adherence to established delegation of authorities by the businesses.
•    Other tasks assigned by Manager or applicable leadership
•    Maintain a thorough understanding of client process and policies
•    Provide excellent customer service to our customers
•    Responsible to demonstrate capacity for critical thinking and analysis. 
•    Responsible to showcase strong work ethic, with the ability to work well both independently and within the context of a larger team-oriented environment

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related degree in Finance from an accredited University or College
•    Experience in financial services experience across Risk Management and/or Finance
Preferred qualifications
•    Previous experience in a Credit Function role. 
•    Effective probing skills and analyzing / understanding skills
•    Problem solving skills with customer centric approach Demonstrated proficiency with written English and with neutral English accent.
•    Must be able to work on a flexible schedule (including weekend shift during quarter ends ) 
•    Strong attention to detail.
•    Industrial product knowledge, commercial risk management or lending; 
•    Demonstrated understanding of commercial risk /management techniques, concepts and business practices; 
•    High degree of comfort working with technology, systems of record, data warehouses and utilization of advanced reporting tools; 
•    Strong financial analysis knowledge and skills; Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•    Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and foster an environment where questions, ideas and suggestions are encouraged and valued; 
•    Demonstrated ability to identify best practice Risk solutions and approaches to enhance businesses effectiveness and competitive position;
•    Ability to utilize internal/external resources and networks to identify solutions;
•    Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels of the organization; 
•    Demonstrated team player with strong collaborative and influencing skills;
•    Ability to work independently while still being an integral part of a team;
•    Demonstrated ability to drive solutions to complex problems (change agent);
•    Detail-oriented; analytical with ability to learn quickly;
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills;
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
