Inviting applications for the role of Manager - Mid-level DevOps Engineer for the riskCanvas Financial Crimes Solution

A leader in this role will engage in and drive development of the riskCanvas End-to-End Anti-Money Laundering Tool Suite. riskCanvas is a fast-growing software startup within Genpact that uses cutting edge big data technologies to detect and deter financial crimes in major international financial institutions. Our development team works on the entire tech stack (from low-level database operations to front end development) for an enterprise big data and analytic cloud. Engineers work with all of our teams from ingest, data science, to individual product teams. Our tools of choice are Ansible, Hbase, YARN, Spark on a asymmetric architecture private cloud. We manage our infrastructure from various cloud providers, AWS, Azure etc...  Our apps and tool suite provide access to many of our client's critical data and information.


  • Monitor and maintain our AWS cloud infrastructure and network
  • Develop and manage our developer CI/CD pipelines to get code out reliably
  • Design, build, and automate solutions utilizing AWS services
  • Configure VPC/VPNs, IAM, security assessments, key pairs/secrets management
  • Manage application logging of our Kubernetes environment
  • Plan and perform any required AWS maintenance and update certificates as necessary
  • Provide Product support (for critical customer issues and for technical API questions/issues)
  • Be available on-call for system outages/issues.
  • Ability to ensure smooth software deployment by writing script updates and running diagnostics.
  • Configure and manage data sources like MySQL, Mongo, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, Hadoop, etc


Minimum qualifications

  • Relevant experience in a DevOps or similar role
  • Experience of strong hands-on experience of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Java, or similar object-oriented language.
  • Experience working on Linux based infrastructures
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS
  • Experience with code merging, promotion, building, and managing CI/CD workflows and tools.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices.
  • Experience with CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments.
  • Knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
  • Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks.
  • Experience with development and automated testing.
  • Production experience building, maintaining and testing large scale, high availability web applications and APIs
  • Willingness to contribute through brainstorming, mentorship and knowledge sharing
  • You are a strong collaborator - you can explain your work, you ask great questions, you listen to your peers and your customers, and you like to give and receive feedback.
