A leading media company's severance management process and policies were affecting its cash claims and profitability. Genpact evaluated 23 policies spanning 11 countries and created a single master policy spanning labor, severance, and bill-back processing, then established controls to drive compliance and enhanced reporting. By redesigning and standardizing the end-to-end process, the client reduced the cycle time from 44 days to 14, saved $28 million from timely bill-backs, and avoided $4 million in write-offs.
Driving year-on-year efficiency and productivity in payroll processing
A global food retailer experienced high administrative costs in managing payroll. Genpact redesigned and automated the process, and put a stringent focus on managing SLAs, KPIs, and productivity that enabled 20 employees to manage 90,000 pay slips, at significantly lower cost. The company enjoys greater flexibility in recurring costs, savings in fleet management, HR operational costs, and social insurance, and received a €2.4 million refund on training resulting from correct execution of the European Subsidy Fund.
Reduced NIGO leads to $17 million impact from early revenue realization
A leading U.S. bank needed to reduce its NIGO percentage from 16.5% and create early revenue realization for its plans processing team. Genpact overcame such issues as missing loan numbers, illegible handwriting on forms, and failure to communicate plan changes to the team by tightening upstream processes, solving form and IT issues, and addressing change management issues. This resulted in much higher productivity, increased customer satisfaction, and a 14-day boost in early revenue realization for a $17 million impact.
