Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption Compliance
Generating Enterprise Risk and Compliance Impact
Organizations with expanding footprints in global markets are facing increased scrutiny on bribery and corruption. Understanding – and most importantly acting upon – the difference between a legitimate activity in one country and illegal in another is key.
Genpact's Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) programs reimagine organizations’ end-to-end risk and compliance practices by transforming enterprise operations across processes, advanced digital technology, and analytics. We generate impact quickly due to our business domain expertise, experience running complex operations, and ability to focus on what works and makes transformation sustainable.
Our ABAC solution follows a Lean DigitalSM approach that harnesses design-thinking methods, Lean principles that enable end-to-end process redesign, and advanced digital technologies, underpinned by domain knowledge. We leverage business transformation methods, such as our Digital Smart Enterprise Processes (SEPSM), supported by Systems of EngagementTM, and Data-to-Action AnalyticsSM.
Genpact delivers the following services:
We support organizations in designing and implementing best-in-class anti-corruption compliance programs. Our team and a pool of external experts review the existing processes, policies and systems before designing and implementing a reimagined approach that delivers the desired compliance framework.
We help organizations identify the business processes that are most prone to corruption and violations. Our advanced operating model monitors risk in the right places, and leverages cloud-based tools.
Review and standardization of policies
Policies for procurement, travel and expenses (T&E), and accounting must be aligned with regulatory anti-corruption policies and enforced with clear support from senior management.
Best-in-class analytical capabilities
Genpact's analytics tool, the Intelligent Process Insights Engine, can analyze terabytes of data from conventional and unconventional data sources to identify suspicious payments, such as potential bribes. The tool provides real-time dashboards to identify the root causes of risk scenarios, while machine learning capabilities enable it to learn from previous transaction analysis, and highlight suspicious cases.
Third-party screening and monitoring
Our collaborative platform offers ongoing enhanced third-party screening based on dynamic risk profiles of vendors, distributors, and suppliers. The platform creates a near real-time risk scorecard of third parties that is calculated through our consulting expertise, and digital capabilities.
Audits and remediation
Genpact conducts independent audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing ABAC controls and offers remediation recommendations. Remote site audits enhance coverage of high-risk, low-revenue-generating locations while reducing cost.
Internal Control Analytics
Our remote site delivery model delivers continuous risk monitoring at optimum cost by providing insights on control KPIs, highlighting fraud, and flagging improper transactions.
Training and reporting systems
Genpact offers interactive e-learning modules that can be integrated with existing learning management solutions. Available across multiple devices, these modules help organizations manage, monitor, and report on their compliance programs.
Mitigated corruption risk by creating a robust governance framework
Doing business in more than 150 countries, this sportswear company was exposed to anti-corruption risk. It had no mechanism for screening vendors, and ineffective processes for identifying and mitigating risk, and monitoring high-risk spend.
Genpact and its partner, Lexis-Nexis, designed and built a full vendor-screening process and compliance framework with data analytics to mitigate corruption risks. It also formulated guidelines to address key gaps and apply a continuous anti-corruption monitoring system.
As a result, the company identified 24 potential blacklisted vendors doing business worth $10 million.
How an oil and gas company lowered risk and aligned compliance following a merger
An oil and gas company that manufactures advanced technology equipment and services faced a high risk of non-compliance with FCPA rules after it acquired another manufacturer. To align and reimagine their compliance processes, Genpact transformed ERP functionalities, built monitoring mechanisms, and rolled out a communication and training plan to raise awareness. The result was a robust compliance process that lowered the risk of violating anti-bribery laws.
