Unique SAP® upgrade enables a global chemical
For a leading US-based chemical manufacturer running on SAP 3.1i, a migration to the latest version of SAP with Unicode support was an essential requirement to meet environmental health and safety (EH&S) regulatory compliance deadlines. The choice was either to upgrade and implement the SAP Environment, Health, and Safety Management (SAP EHS Management) functionality or put its European and APAC operations at risk due to non-compliance. It opted for a, speedy, multi-generational leap from SAP 3.1i to SAP ERP 6.0. This project was the first of its kind globally to move from the oldest to the latest SAP version. The project was made more challenging due to the tight timelines for the upgrade. This upgrade enabled the company to save on the high cost of supporting the old SAP version and to smoothly run its business operations.
