Penske Truck Leasing decided in 2010 to verify their perception that their OTC operation had achieved best in class after 10 years of applying Six Sigma principles. They discovered that, across a number of metrics, performance did meet that standard, but with the help of Genpact’s Smart Enterprise Processes (SEP℠) solution, they found 7 additional metrics bearing the potential to generate additional cash flow and an annual pre-tax profit increase. Penske is now developing improvement programs to capitalize on these additional metrics.
