Genpact has deep domain expertise in procure-to-pay and multi-location service delivery capability. More than 1800 employees support Accounts Payable processes across America, Europe and Asia, handing some 15 million invoices and disbursements of $110 billions. Lifecycle sub-processes supported by our team include document imaging and management, invoice processing and resolution, payments, Helpdesk, and controllership (including audit, duplicate avoidance, statutory support like escheatment and 1099 and reconciliations). We support most European, Latin and Asian languages in addition to English. And we have extensive experience performing Accounts Payable processes on Oracle and other ERP systems such as PeopleSoft or SAP.
Our Approach
Genpact has developed Accounts Payable operational excellence through a step-by-step approach of process stabilization, sustainability, and standardization. We use Lean Six Sigma to map process flows, measure performance, ID process defects and eliminate non-value added process components. Continuous pursuit of higher pay-in-time rates reduces liquidity losses related to premature payment, curbs fees associated with late payment, and allows for standardized early payment at discounted terms. Finally, a broad client base enables us to benchmark any Accounts Payable process in need of improvement against those already optimized for our other clients.
Client Successes
We worked with a Global Automaker for processing 200,000 invoices annually for 11 countries. Genpact modified and standardized payment parameters, streamlined invoice approval procedures, established protocols for prioritizing payment, and revised conditions for expedited remittance. The result was a doubling in the on-time-payment rate and a combined $500,000 return in cost- and late-penalty avoidance.
