Genpact unveils its new global rebranding in China - "Intelligent Enterprises Powered by Process"- to empower clients to outcompete with smarter processes, technology and analytics
May 10, 2012, Beijing, China - Following its global rebranding, Genpact Ltd. (NYSE: G) executives today unveiled the "new Genpact" in a press conference in Beijing, China to demonstrate the company's value proposition and commitment to Asia, in particular China, under the slogan "Intelligent Enterprises Powered by Process."
The company's entire global senior management team, led by Genpact global President and CEO NV ‘Tiger' Tyagarajan and Asia CEO Charles Hunting, announced Genpact's rebranding to the China market following the global launch, showcasing its strong dedication to China and the Asia region.
"China plays a critical role in our global growth strategy, and we are very happy to introduce our global rebranding to this market," said Mr. Tyagarajan. "Effective business processes are becoming more essential for every business in a fiercely competitive global environment. Our rebranding is an expression of Genpact's dedication to business process management and how we help make our clients more intelligent. As a pioneer in the business process outsourcing industry, we help businesses to increase efficiency, lower costs, make smarter decisions and improve business performance for measurable business outcomes."
In a world that is more complex, uncertain and rapidly changing, enterprises must be smarter to have foresight to anticipate changes, dexterity to adapt and the spirit to innovate. Genpact helps its clients embrace these realities in order to become intelligent enterprises. Genpact powers this intelligence through smarter processes combined with smarter technology and smarter analytics. Genpact gives enterprises the unique high-performance capabilities they need to outcompete.
Nowhere is this more imperative than in China. In a move to further demonstrate Genpact's strong investment and commitment to China, the company is supporting the establishment of a local chapter of the Change Management Institute (CMI) in Beijing. CMI is dedicated to building up networks to cultivate and educate professionals to propel the process of essential organizational change.
Mr. Chris Macdonald, Change Consultant and CMI China Chapter lead, said, "We are extremely proud to partner with Genpact as it is a leader in Asia for driving the acceleration of the practice of change management."
Since Genpact first introduced the business outsourcing model in 2000, China has become an increasingly strategic market as both an offshore service location and as an emerging market for the business process management industry.
"Our global rebranding marks the next stage of our business in China and our commitment to growing with it," said Mr. Hunting. "We will continue to provide cutting-edge technology services, operational and process excellence and industry domain expertise to enable our clients to operate more effectively and intelligently."
Under the rebranding and new value proposition that Genpact has introduced in China, Genpact will continue to strengthen its offshore service capabilities in this strategic market to provide improved process management solutions to clients from Japan, Europe and the United States, covering industries such as automotive, manufacturing, BFSI and pharmaceuticals. To deepen its footprint and extend its strategic reach, Genpact has expanded its facilities from major cities, like Dalian, Changchun, Shanghai and Beijing, to lower tier cities; Genpact recently opened delivery centers in Foshan and Qingdao.
At the same time, Genpact intends to partner with growing Chinese companies to go global through process management while also nurturing Chinese local talent in the industry. For example, in 2009, Genpact inked an agreement with the local government of Kunshan Huaqiao to open a training centre that serves to cultivate talent for Genpact and the industry as a whole. It also developed an industry white paper in partnership with the local Qingdao government targeting major local brands in the city. These among other achievements have been widely recognized by the industry. In 2011, Genpact received a "Top Ten Global Service Providers in China" award at the China International Service Outsourcing Cooperation held in Nanjing for the second consecutive year.
